Overview

Your Account Settings page helps you manage your plan, credits, and connected AI providers.
It’s where you can view your current plan, monitor credit usage, and connect your own API keys to customize your Savannabay experience.

Accessing Account Settings

From the left sidebar, click Settings → Account.
You’ll see three main sections:

  1. Profile Information – Displays your registered email and member since date.

  2. Credits & Usage – Shows your available credits and allows you to check your remaining balance.

  3. Current Plan – Displays your plan type (e.g., Lifetime Tier 3 or Monthly Plan), including renewal or start dates.

  4. Account Actions – Used to Sign Out from your session.

Understanding Credits and Usage

Savannabay operates on a credit-based system, where each AI task consumes credits depending on the level of analysis involved:

  • Keyword Generation: High credit usage because of required SEO transactions.

  • AI Q&A Sets: Low usage, based on number of questions and LLMs involved.

  • Recommendations: Moderate usage, since merges different LLMS to get the best result.

Your available balance is always visible under Credits & Usage, and each feature shows its cost before execution.

💡 Tip: Credits refresh monthly for subscriptions.

Viewing Your Current Plan

Under Current Plan, you can check:

  • Your plan name (e.g., Lifetime Tier 3 or Monthly Pro).

  • Type of billing (Lifetime, Monthly, or Annual).

  • Start date or renewal date.

Unused credits do not accumulate.

Using the Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) Option

Savannabay supports Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) allowing you to connect your own API keys for AI providers such as Claude, GPT-5-mini, and Perplexity.

How to Connect Your Keys

  1. Go to Settings → AI Keys.

  2. Paste your API key for each supported provider.

  3. Click Save API Keys.

Once connected, Savannabay uses your keys for AI calls while maintaining all feature functionality.

How BYOK Affects Credits

BYOK can minimize or eliminate AI-related credit usage depending on the setup.

  • When you connect all your supported AI keys, Savannabay routes analyses through your own accounts.

  • This means you won’t be charged credits for AI transactions, since the LLM costs are covered by your own providers.

  • However, SEO data retrieval (such as keyword metrics or search volume) continues to use credits, as it relies on external SEO data sources.

Savannabay may also use a combination of 2–3 LLMs simultaneously (e.g., Claude + GPT + Perplexity) to improve accuracy and strategic depth.
If only some keys are connected, credits will be charged for the missing ones.

⚙️ Summary:

  • Add all your AI keys → No credit cost for AI transactions.

  • Credits still apply for SEO database queries.

  • You maintain full transparency and control over usage.

Best Practices

  • Keep your API keys updated if rotated by providers.

  • Monitor usage in your provider dashboards (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity).

  • Check your credit balance regularly before large analyses.

  • Connect all available AI keys for the most cost-efficient setup.

  • Remove and re-add keys if authentication issues occur.
